We sat down with Jane Moffat, Operational Lead for Early Help at Coventry City Council, to discuss their journey so far, the impact of their digital transformation, and what’s next for Coventry’s service evolution.

What’s the one achievement you’re most proud of since using Beebot AI?

“One of our biggest achievements has been the collaboration between all the different partnerships and teams involved in Family Hub Offer  to configure the Beebot AI platform. Bringing together such a wide range of services into a unified digital space has been no small task, and seeing it come to life has been incredibly rewarding. It has enhanced our commitment to working together to achieve the same goal – helping families. By improving the service and making it accessible to everyone, we’ve been able to streamline support, reduce barriers to accessing help, and ensure every family feels valued and empowered in their journey.

We’re also proud of the impact this work is already having. The volume of users accessing the platform and the positive feedback we’ve received are clear indicators that this approach is making a real difference to families and professionals in Coventry.”

What excites you most about continuing to work with Beebot AI?

“We’re most excited about the innovation Beebot AI brings to our partnership approach to making Coventry the best city for children to grow up and live in.  Their approach to using technology to simplify processes and improve the citizen experience is transformational. It’s not just about the tools they offer but also the way they collaborate with us to explore new ideas and opportunities. Their platform also facilitates collaboration with other Beebot AI council clients, allowing us to share knowledge, best practices, and insights. This exchange of expertise strengthens not only our service delivery but also the wider network of councils working towards similar goals, ensuring we’re always learning and improving.

This partnership has enabled us to move from strength to strength, enabling further improvements and innovation in our offer, and we can’t wait to see what’s possible as we move into the next phase of our journey together. How has Beebot AI helped your team better support citizens, families, or professionals?

“The consolidation of all our children’s services in Coventry into a single, streamlined platform has been transformative. Previously, it could be challenging for citizens, families, and professionals to navigate through multiple services to find the support they needed. Now, everything is in one place, making it much simpler and quicker for all types of users to engage with the services available.

This clarity and ease of access have not only improved the experience for our residents but also enhanced the efficiency of our teams, allowing us to focus on delivering better outcomes. By involving all teams in the process, we’ve been able to promote cross-service collaboration. This has enabled staff to gain a better understanding of the full range of support available, share resources more effectively, and feel a greater sense of ownership over their specific areas and the information they manage. Ultimately, this has created a more cohesive and empowered workforce.”

 

What features or functionalities of the Beebot AI platform are you launching next?

“We’re currently piloting bot workflows and live chat as a way to provide faster responses to citizens. This functionality will not only help us address enquiries more efficiently but also allow us to collect valuable data to build a robust database of AI-generated responses. Over time, this will improve response times even further and reduce the administrative burden on our teams.

In addition, we’re launching Digital Automated Pathways to offer citizens focused, contextual information on key topics like SEND and Parenting. These pathways are designed to guide users towards the resources they need quickly and intuitively, saving time for both residents and staff. The pathways also represent an opportunity to provide personalised, accessible support, ensuring that no one feels lost or overwhelmed when seeking help.”

 

How would you describe your experience working with the Beebot AI team during the implementation process?

“Our experience with the Beebot AI team has been great. They’ve been a true asset to our Children’s Services team, providing hands-on guidance and expertise throughout the implementation process. They have been patient and progressive at the same time, opening our eyes to the possibility of Ai and automation in a safe and sequential way. They’ve helped us understand how to implement intelligent automation effectively, not just as a technical solution but as a tool for improving service delivery across the board. Their support has been invaluable in helping us realise the full potential of this platform. They’ve also connected us with other councils using Beebot AI, allowing us to share knowledge, learn from each other’s experiences, and strengthen our approach.
